featuring our Island Curry Seasoning

Ingredients

3 potato, peeled, cubed, cooked

1 ½ Lb. Ground Beef
1/2 Block Butter
1/2 Onion, chopped
4 stalks Celery, chopped
1 tablespoon salt
4 & ½  teaspoons Salty Wahine Island Curry (to taste) 

1  12ounce can carnation evaporated milk (not the sweeten evaporated milk) 

1/4 Cup Aloha shoyu (Kikuman is okay too)

1 12 to 16 oz package frozen mixed vegetables

 

Instructions

Peel and chop potatoes into one inch pieces. Put potatoes in a pot and cover with water and bring to a boil.  Boil till fork can penetrate potato pieces, about 10 to 15 minutes. Drain, set aside.

Melt butter in a pot/saucepan, add finely chopped onions and celery and cook until onions are opaque. Transfer to bowl and set aside. Add ground beef to same pot/saucepan and cook for 10 minutes or until browned. Drain fat.  Add the cooked onion celery mixture, salt and potatoes, lightly mix. Sprinkle Island Curry over mixture, slightly mix and allow to cook for 5 minutes. Add evaporated milk, mixed vegetables and shoyu and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes.

Makes 6 servings.
