featuring our Kiawe Smoke / Guava Garlic Salt
1 whole chicken
3 to 5 pounds
1/2 can beer (you may enjoy the other half)
1/2 stick butter
Salty Wahine Kiawe Smoke or Guava Garlic Salt.
Wash chicken and pat dry. Cut butter into slices and stick under skin of chicken. Take some Kiawe Smoke or Guava Garlic Salt in the palm of your hand (approximately 1/8 cup or a little less) and rub on inside of chicken. Rub outside of entire chicken with another palm of Kiawe Smoke or Guava Garlic Salt. Place chicken neck downside over can of beer. Beer can should fit entirely inside the cavity of the chicken. Place chicken on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until skin is crisp and brown. You may also grill using a
pan made especially for Beer Can Chicken. 400 degrees for 1 hour.
