This spicy and hickory smoked garlic salt has a medium heat. With its chili peppers and garlic, our Hot Lava is a great seasoning on steaks, shrimp, salmon, burgers, veggies, and even popcorn. Uses our Black Lava Salt as its base. 1 Tsp per pound.

My daughter brought Hot Lava back from Kauai for us. What can I say? It’s fabulous. I first tried it on grilled pork chops. It’s now my favorite. If you like spicy food you will love this as a rub on pork and other meats, even fish. It’s really good.

I am from Kansas and received this as a gift from those visiting the area. I have use it in everything from flank steak and shrimp to asparagus and salad dressing. There is nothing that matches the taste of this blend. This is a truly remarkable seasoning.

We use Hot Lava on almost everything, but we love it on Brussel Sprouts, fried with a little olive oil. My kids can’t get enough of it brussel sprouts cooked this way.

Bought some of these spices 7 months ago in Oahu at a farmers market near the north shore, and brought them back to the states. I live in Florida, and every person I’ve cooked for when I’ve used these spices have gone off the deep end and want to know where I’ve got them. Some seriously wonderful timeless spices. I bought a hot lava grinder at a market in Kailua, and here iam back in Australia with not much left, ordering a quart bag! This stuff is awesome. Absolutely epic on scrambled eggs with Sourdough and bacon. Perfect for pork and steak, provides a lovely crust and loads of flavour.
